The Aroma of our rich, deep orange colored Carrot Seed oil is softly spicy with a sweet, nutty undertone. Its richness brings cool water to the eyes.

The main action of Carrot Seed essential oil is to nourish the Liver’s blood, and consequently benefit the eyes and vision with such symptoms as dry eyes, poor vision, brittle nails, dizziness, and scanty menses. It also supplements Liver and Kidney Yin and has a nourishing, cooling nature.

Rich in Vitamin A, Carrot seed essential oil repairs damaged skin. It is also a natural sunscreen.

For Liver Blood and Kidney Yin deficient insomnia, agitation and heat blend Carrot Seed with Bai Zi Ren (Biota Semen), Lavender and Zhi Zi (Gardenia Fructus).

To both nourish and vitalize the blood combine with Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum wallichii).

If there is depression, combining with Xiang Fu essential oil (Cyperis) may prove beneficial.

To benefit the vision combine with Ju Hua (Chrysanthemum Flos).

When Liver fire has caused consumption of the Liver’s Blood, as may happen in chronic inflammation of the Liver (Hepatitis), practitioners may consider a blend of Carrot Seed oil with Qing Hao (Artemisea annua) and Yin Chen Hao (Artemisea soparia) and Zhi Zi (Gardenia fructus).

Carrot seed essential oil has benefits to the hormonal system by helping to regulate the production of thyroxine and promote progesterone.
